Impermanence

 It's been a difficult weekend and something I couldn't have even imagined. My little kitten Blake became critically ill and passed away.  It was an unbearable amount of pain and my friends and family helped me beyond imagination, expectations, and need. But that brought to my notice how pain works? All that was going on in this life, my kittens screaming at the top of their lungs, clinging to me, and their insatiable hunger - I took it all for granted. I never for once could have imagined that it won't be the same always. Actually speaking, no two moments are the same. The present moment needs to be cherished. Every bond is appreciated, reciprocated to its best, and strengthened as much as we can. Impermanence:  It's only a question of when and not if. With this in the background, we can't just give up loving altogether. No that's not necessary, not possible, and neither good for us. We have to love, love hardest but as soon as the moment is over we have to let...

WHEN EGO TAKES OVER

 I am working in a field of medicine that works behind curtains and has no claim on its findings or diagnosis. Sitting in the dark, trying my best to illuminate the disease which is difficult to see. The importance of images and image interpretation is lost and getting lost further. With the lack of any cooperation from the fraternity, the new information which may be found is lost even before it could be conceived. Deemed to be replaceable, I have seen the damage caused by the replacement, incorrect perceptions by immature, self-centered, and unwise egoists. Is it really about medicine or is it about you? The sense of achievement is difficult to achieve behind the curtains and under a blanket of rebuke. The touch is lost, and colleagues are difficult with feelings brewing to a point of resentment where there is animosity. The jokes and rebukes have stabbed deep and I hold every one of them responsible. Making mistakes is an involuntary action and most of the time regretted. It's e...
