Lessons not learnt will be repeated...

It's a weird imposing title for a read, but it's absolutely true. We are living a life(with or without awareness of a purpose) and there are many events that are playing on a loop, like getting stuck in the longest queue or maybe the forever red light or even worst, the slowest driver. I notice such incidents recurring with my mother or whenever I am in a hurry. I wondered what it meant(if anything at all)?

We all tend to experience these situations and develop overwhelming anger, the anxiety of turning up late or just disgust at the mere stagnation. And if we extrapolate these recurring "lessons" to bigger things in life- similar abusive boyfriends, repeated financial crisis, or just frustrating bosses.

I do notice an overall impatient and angry culture spreading across the world- Intolerance to any sort of difference, an inability to adjust or to adapt. So if we deconstruct our present situations, we have a problem with (mostly) everyone and everywhere!

I guess the important lessons life is trying to teach us is patience. It's a virtue that cannot be more emphasized upon. Every action requires patience to plan or execute it with mindfulness. Mindfulness is nearly impossible without patience. Once you start being 100% aware of your action, you will develop a new self altogether and not just more responsible but something even better. You will reflect on every little minute detail which will make you more connected to every little work you do.

Patience is a lesson which pays a lot in the long term, our families are the best example for those. Our mothers had adjusted to multiple diversities and created a family- literally created one and without being bitter raised us to be who we are today. Endless patience can be seen in our mothers' eyes every moment, every season. With such close proximity to miraculous ideals, it's disappointing how we keep looking for role models outside. If we don't mock ourselves(or them)for every failure( mine or someone else's) and focus on the work at hand, I believe life would be different.

A lot of self-help groups or works are helping us deconstruct our everyday lives to focus on what we lack the most - Humanity. Humanity is a boon and bane. In a world where only super fast and super smart are respected, why is the word patience getting more and more important? Aren't we missing out on something? We achieve goals in an illusion created by someone else with just some rand instant gratification s - like, share or subscribe? Just a random act of kindness- like food to someone hungry will give you satisfaction beyond compare.

But without patience, there will be no awareness and the potential numerous moments of such kindness will be lost. Let's focus on inculcating this. Just take a pause of 30 seconds before every super urgent work you have and soon you'll realize there isn't anything "super urgent" at all.

Live at your pace. Only then you'll see this Vibgyor world better.

Who else but Lao Tzu to say it and Ruskin Bond to remind us?
