Strict lessons or kind lessons? Or Both??
It's been a while wondering if we learn better by the whip or by love...Well, I can't seem to understand the answer right away. If we dwell deeper into the question it somehow reminds me of the ying-yang theory, can black exist without white?? I had a horrible experience being taught by cruel words and being a sensitive person, every word hit me, cut me like a knife or maybe it hurt me and my ego. When words are kind they help us and soothe our ego. But can kindness lead to growth? Is there can any place for kindness at work? Is kindness the same as weakness? Or cowardice? or leniency?
I seem to reach a middle path where every action seems to make sense. I am not here to endorse adult cartoon series but the basic principle of Taoism is caught so well by the
"Rick and Morty" episode where an earth saving superhero ends up killing people in her unidirectional passion to a point of crazy mindset which was kept in check by the greed of some of her people. Well, I guess you'll have to see it to feel it. My point being, every action/event has a reason hidden within its pleats. You cannot appreciate kindness without the whip, now can you?
Reaching a point of agreement, both are a necessity. WE CANNOT FAVOR/CHOOSE EITHER. Period.
